Small Business SaturGay
Role: Creative Operations, Creative Project Manager, and Program Manager
Small Business SaturGay wasn’t your typical Pride campaign. It was a full-on rallying cry to support LGBTQIA2S+ owned businesses and encourage everyone to “Shop Queer.”
While Pride Month brings in millions for big brands cashing in on rainbow logos, queer-owned businesses don’t always get the slice they deserve. We set out to change that. Partnering with Everywhere is Queer, an organization with a global map of queer-owned businesses, we dedicated June 29th as a day to celebrate and uplift queer entrepreneurs by calling on everyone to Shop Queer.
From concept to launch, I had my hands in every part of the campaign - coordinating with partners, managing creative production, ensuring a smooth launch. But we didn’t just stop at just one day. We kept the party going by featuring new queer-owned businesses on our blog and socials each week, sharing their stories and driving continued support their way. We also created a sticker pack for both businesses and customers to use to show their support, and sent decals for our featured businesses for their storefronts.
AdAge featured us in their Pride roundup, spotlighting the campaign and helping to further amplify its reach.
